Sucessful search: the 165degree Pacific Opt.Co. 3,45mm f 1,5 has P.N.31320 and SER.NO. 104, looks like a fisheye with ca 8,5cm lmost flat front element and strongly curved (next element?) glass inside. No focussing controls, but a small aperture ring at the rear going down to f 8, The mount is a finely threaded ring behind a flat "180"degree truncated circle shelf with three holes ca 60degrees apart. On the edge of the rim there is a painted P/A073150 and on its side is a more clumsily painted P.A.056832 . presumably clues to its useful past.
Some decennies ago I asked a famous NYC workshop to change its mount. They gave up without offering much of an explanation (but this was well before short back focus cameras beyond narrow gauge cine, so it may have been a back focus issue). I have not measured its back focus but if and when time allows I may try my usual Araldite method in order to see what it will do on a digital CL. As it does not seem to have any photographic or monetary use so far, it will remain stored among other interesting but useless optics.
