Pentina, "Bauhaus" design aus DDR
Leider nur in Englisch:
I just got my Pentina back from overhaul at Olbrichs. Good work and not expensive as usual. I bought it with all its optics due to its peculiar design even though I am usually more interested in reslts than looks. "Zeissikonweb"has a thorough presentation of how the Vebur shutter proceeded from Jena to Zetlitz. The camera itself is almost as clean, and free of clutter as the Werra, but as the mirror and pentaprism had to be fitted inside its rectangular profile, it is more bulky than is distant cousin from Eisfeld.
I ran a roll of "Ilford" XP through it with reasonable results from both the Zeiss and Meyer optics: Rewinding with the more elegant than practical tiny handle was somewhat tedious so the camera is not at risk of being brought outdoors in rain and snow like its distant relatives. The lenses will be almost impossible to adapt to my digital devices, so they will also lead a quiet life indoors. The Cardinar on my Werrra, however, will see more use.
