I'm sure with optimal preparation, an excellent lens (better than the Tokina on my flight south) and a better seat (not over the wing), better images would have been possible (although I'm quite surprised how good they turned out after some digital work). I doubt that a UV filter would have made a difference. Maybe next year (I fly a maximum number of two times a year (back and forth to my holiday destination). However, if I'll have similarly nice light is doubtful. Or I'll book an airship on a balloon, which will undoubtedly provide the best conditions for phototgraphs with my camera (save those done with drones).
