Eyelash Fungus
This species grows on wet, rotting wood usually next to a pond. Here, the wood is covered by damp mud, which is partly covered by moss.
These fruiting bodies start as cups which then flatten out but not completely, leaving an uneven, undulating surface. Image cropped.
