Part 1 of my homework "window light".
This is my 90yo father. He is suffering from dementia so there was no chance getting some support from him regarding re-arranging the rooms, changing dresses or something like that. So I had to disregard some of Adolfo's hints. He wears white as he usual does on Sundays. He has a stiff back and can't stand upright so his position will always be the same in pictures. I took this pic intentionally with him wearing glasses because without them he looks like a stranger to me.
The window light was on my right behind me, the kitchen where I took this pic is very small but it was the only room with enough available light. I tried to add an additional layer of light in the living room but there was only artificial light. Maybe I should have chosen a wider lens but I had only one lens with me, the Contax Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4. My plan was to take the picture in the living room but a thunderstorm prohibited that.
Even if I failed to follow all we've learned this is the first pic that shows him to me like he is. The mood is rather oppressive but that is exactly what I feel when I visit him.

Super Foto. Sehr cineastisch
