No one collects stamps for re-use, but optics are continuously useful andi n the meantime the better and rarer ones may rise in value faster than inflation.
The former Westlicht auctions mutated into Leitz auctions, but still offer firstclass objects at what apparently is market price. Once art collectors discover this as a similar, but less expensive method of storing value and showing off, we common users may have to rely on what in the classic car world is known as "barn finds" or be forced to buy new "cardboard reinforced plastic" creations.
