pigriff C
Since noe one else seems to contribute ad the Pigriff, i can add that I just managed to aquire a C version in excellent condition.
After disassmbling and lubricating its tiny threads I discovered that although the lensheads between B and C are interchangeable, the aperture unit which fits both lens heads has as much bigger bayonet on the C than on the B version. Probably since it was intended for the 6x6format. I wonder which dimensions the Leitz head has ?
The "ausløser" knob of the focussing unit seems to be able to close an alectrical contact and not just to move a cable release. Lots of adjustment room for the shoulder support. Also more robust closefocussing tube than the BAL.U, but lacking fine adjustment.
First snaps with its 400T turned out good, No attempts to use it against the light however; the coatings look just like on my older version. The number is 48227, no production list is to be found on the net so i assume it was made before most companies started multicoating (and steable/Agfa may possibly never have adapted that technology.)
