I agree. At such an event I prioritise people not moving over optimum angles of view.

The flower is about the size of my thumb.
Olympus EM-1, El-Nikkor 1-4 50mm at f11, on free-lensing on approx. 45mm extension, FOV approx. 45mm wide. Hand held.
This is my first use of the lens and my first at free-lensing (by necessity). The lens was on an adapter (M42 to 4/3) which was attached only to the lens.

I had hoped to photograph larger fruits on the bush but pointing the lens towards even the tiniest chink of light produced horrific flare. I didn't have a hood to hand but I doubt it would have helped much. So I picked a specimen and put it on some cut wood.
Olympus EM-1, 40mm extension, Minolta E Rokkor 75mm f4.5 at f11. FOV 80mm wide, WD 350mm. Hand held.
This is the first time I used this lens.

So far, I have scarcely used this lens. I was surprised at how much I could point it downwards and still get all the cars in. I think I selected f11.
There is vignetting, as would be expected with such a wide angle lens.

This was at a classic car event this morning. The images in this stereo pair have not been edited but there are some small optical illusions.

The first 3 images were at minimum working distance at focal length 87mm and at f 11, ISO 500, hand held.
The fourth was at 150mm, minimum working distance, f8.
The fifth was at 205mm, minimum working distance, f8.
The lighting was harsh, bright sunlight. I reduced some highlights digitally.
These images seem a bit soft.
The shortest focus distance, at 2.5m, means this is not a lens for close-ups.

Sony A7r3, RE Zoom f4.7 Auto Topcor 87-205mm Tokio Kogaku.
At first I didn't realize what happened. I took 2 shots at 87mm but only one at about 155mm at 205mm, all at f8.
In Stereo Photo Maker, I had selected the 155m and 205mm images and the software had cropped the latter. The result is acceptable.

The background is unfortunate but was unavoidable.
I think this was with the Voightlander Color Ultron 50. On A7r3.

This adorns the front of Rolls Royce cars. From Wikipedia: "also called Eleanor, Silver Lady, or Flying Lady, was designed by Sykes, a graduate of London's Royal College of Art, and carries with it a story about secret passion between Montagu, second Baron Montagu of Beaulieu after 1905, a pioneer of the automobile movement, and editor of The Car Illustrated magazine from 1902, and the model for the emblem, Eleanor Velasco Thornton".
I believe there have been modifications required to make it safer.
The images were originally in 4/3 format. However, with people and cars moving around, there was a man in a yellow shirt in both and a red car in one. So, cropping was essential but was of no loss aesthetically.
