Hallo Jungs,
glücklich und wohlbehalten, aber um 100 Jahre gealter (weil Opa geworden) sind meine Frau und ich wieder in Kiel angekommen.
Einen Reisebericht mit vielen hoffentlich schönen Fotos werde ich die Tage schreiben.
Vielleicht sollten wir im Forum eine kleine Ecke mit Reiseberichten anlegen, so das vielleicht der eine oder andere inspiriert dadurch selbst auch mitteilen kann, wo fotografisch schöne Motive den Urlaub verschönern können oder vielleicht sogar als Ideensammlung für den eigenen nächsten Urlaub dienen könnten.
Aber nun ist erstmal der Opa gefordert und morgen geht es erneut nach Hamburg. Diesmal hoffentlich mit den "Frischlingen", die leider noch unter Beobachtung stehen und morgen erstmals zum "Knudeln und liebhaben" zur Verfügung stehen. Mutter und Kinder sind wohlauf, unsere Reise beendet, der Kopf und das Herz voll mit Freude und Emotionen.

auch ich schließe mich den Glückwünschen an und gratuliere herzlich zum doppelten Familienzuwachs! Da wir der stolze Opa sicher als Fotograf fürs Familienalbum zukünftig gefordert sein.
Die Idee mit der Ecke mit den Reiseberichten finde ich sehr gut, wir haben ja doch den ein oder anderen Weitgereisten unter uns (ich zähle mich auch dazu).

Diese Insel gehört zu einer von diversen Inseln der in der Ägäis liegenden Gruppe der Kykladen. Zu dieser Inselgruppe gehören Serifos, Milos, Sifnos und noch etliche andere Inseln. <o:p></o:p>

Die griechische Inselwelt liegt ca. 2.600 km von Kiel entfernt und hat um die Jahreszeit noch „erträgliche“ Temperaturen zu bieten. 25 Grad waren die täglichen Temperaturen<o:p></o:p>
Die Anreise geht über die Athen vorgelagerte Hafenstad Piräus. Die Zeitumstellung betrug 1 Stunde vorstellen.

Dort suchten wir uns ein nettes 5 Sterne Hotel um dann ausgeruht am nächsten Tag um 16 Uhr die Fähre zu nehmen. So der Plan….<o:p></o:p>

Am Abend bummelten wir noch etwas durch die Stadt. Piräus ist eine Hafenstadt, laut, schmutzig und mit massenweise herrenloser Hunde. Keine wirklich schöne Stadt zum verweilen.

Ablegen lt. Plan um 16 Uhr, reale Abfahrt 20:15 Uhr…
Gründe.. wurden keine genannt. Es bestehen zwei Möglichkeiten, der Fährverbindung.. mit der regulären Fähre (lange Fahrzeiten, laut, Menschenmassen)
oder per Speedrunner – Verbindung. Dies sind Schnellboote, die wie Katamarane aussehen und die Insel in 2,5 Stunden erreichen… Preislich sind die Speedboote deutlich teuerer als die staatliche, reguläre Fähre.<o:p></o:p>

Wir richteten uns schon auf die erste Nacht mit Sack und Pack am Strand ein, da wir nicht damit rechneten, in der Privatunterkunft noch jemanden wach anzutreffen.

Auf Sifnos machen sehr viele Griechen selbst Urlaub und auch die Russen haben diese Insel für sich entdeckt.<o:p></o:p>

Ist geprägt durch den Hafen und hat die meisten Autoverleihfirmen auf der ganzen Insel und auch die meisten Hotels.

Ein winziges Nest mit vielleicht 300 Einwohnern, aber es ist der verkehrstechnische Dreh- und Angelpunkt der Insel. <o:p></o:p>
Von hier gehen alle relevanten Straßen zu den verschiedenen Dörfern ab. <o:p></o:p>
Schule, Apotheken und kleine Läden sowie etliche Kaffees bilden rund um den Marktplatz eine kleine kompakte Einheit.

Die dicht an dicht gebauten Häuser sind mit vielerlei Pflanzen, in Innenhöfen verschönert und sehr schön anzusehen..

Im Sommer ist die Vegetation sehr karg. Was in dieser Hitze von ca. 40 und mehr Graden dann noch überstehen kann, sind Algarven, Disteln und einige mir nicht bekannte Pflanzen. Ansonsten regiert farblich das „rostbraun“ der steinigen Berglandschaft.<o:p></o:p>

Die Buchten haben jedoch eine interessante Unterwasserwelt zu bieten, so das Schnorcheln hier recht interessant ist, da es sich um eine Fischreiches Areal handelt.<o:p></o:p>
Deshalb ist der Fischfang für die Touristenrestaurants eine noch von Familien genutzte Einkommensquelle. Die kleinen, farbenprächtigen Boote sind auf dem smaragdgrünen Wasser sehr hübsch anzusehen und bilden ein wunderschönes und farbenprächtiges Kontrastprogramm zum vorherrschenden braun und weiß der Umgebung.

Wer gern wandert (ich leider nicht mehr), findet hier ein schönes Areal dafür. <o:p></o:p>
Esel sind hier ein doch noch recht oft anzutreffendes Lastentransportmittel und liefern im Zeitalter des Autos ein Gefühl sich um Jahrzehnte zurückversetzt zu fühlen. <o:p></o:p>

Das Nachtleben auf der Insel ist beschränkt auf die Hauptstadt Appollonia, in der es zwei kleine Bars gibt, in denen man Tanzen und schwofen kann. Wir haben diese aber nie aufgesucht, weil unsere Exkursionen am Tage doch anstrengend für uns ältere Leute waren. Stattdessen haben wir uns abends hin und wieder in die Old Captains Bar am Strand des Hafen Kamares, wo wir auch wohnten begeben und den Abend bei einem guten Schluck ausklingen lassen. <o:p></o:p>

Dort kamen dann zum Teil auch richtig geile Luxusboote zum Kurzanleger in den Hafen und die Besitzer machten einen kurzen Landgang. <o:p></o:p>

Im Kontrast zu dieser Insel-Idylle standen dann aber doch recht „bizzare“ Bilder vonin den Bergen entsorgten „Autowracks“ und recht chaotischen Ecken der Insel

Es ist laut, hektisch und doch recht erkennbar alles darauf ausgerichtet, die Touristen zu „schröpfen“. Service, wie wir ihn hier gewohnt sind, ist dabei jedoch Fehlanzeige. <o:p></o:p>
Es ist zu bemerken, das die Touristen stören und große Teile der Inselbewohner die Touristen als „notwendiges Übel“ betrachten, um die Einnahmen zu erhalten. <o:p></o:p>

Wir reisten am 17.05.2009 mit sehr gemischten Gefühlen wieder von der Insel ab und traten den beschwerlichen Heimweg, der wieder mit der 6 Stunden dauernden Überfahrt, einer Übernachtung in Piräus und dem Rückflug von Athen über Zürich verbunden war. Entschädigt hat auf dieser Rückfahrt mit der Fähre jedoch, das wir die anderen Inseln bei Tageslicht sehen konnten und noch schöne Bilder des Sonnenunterganges in der Ägäis machen konnten.

Danach waren wir doch sehr erschöpft und hatten das Gefühl Urlaub vom Urlaub zu benötigen. Das wir am Tage unserer Ankunft am 18.05.2009 dann zwei gesunde Enkel bekamen, wird uns neben dem mit einigem Abstand betrachtet eigentlich doch recht schönen Urlaub immer in Erinnerung bleiben.<o:p></o:p>

Die hier gezeigten Bilder hätte ich gern in 800er Auflösung in den Thread eingebunden, weil es so doch etwas sehr albern aussieht. Aber da ich nun desöfteren angemahnt wurde, diese externe Einbindung zu unterlassen, leider nun dies etwas störende, weil den Fluss unterbrechende Verweise einbauen.
Die Bilder entstanden allesamt mit den Objektiven Angenieux 35-70, Canon 20-35 L und Porst 1.2/55mm. Ein Bild von der Kirche auf dem Felsen wurde mit dem 70-200L gemacht.

Hallo Henry,schön auch mal so etwas hier zu lesen.Deinen Reisebericht ist interessant,aber auch in vielerlei Hinsicht aufschlussreich.Mit den Bildern widersprichst Du Dir in einigen Punkten aber selber.Laut,hektisch,schmutzig und Touristen (Abzocke) sind nur in Deinen Worten zu finden.Die Bilder vermitteln ein ganz anders Gesicht der Insel ( und somit auch seiner Bewohner).Da ist alles sauber und ordentlich(aufgeräumt)viel Blumen und weiße Wände und so gut wie keine Menschenseele zusehen.Überfüllte Fähre,überhöhte Preise,aber auch Lastenesel und ähnl.hätte ich auch gern in Bildern gesehen.
Die Lösung mit den Bildern (so extra öffnen) finde ich auch nicht so dolle.Ich könnte mir das auch schöner,nur mit Bildern und den entsprechenden ,notwendigen ,Text darunter, auch als bessere Lösung vorstellen.
Ich hoffe meine Kritik überlagert jetzt nicht zu sehr meine Begeisterung für Deinen interessanten Urlaubsbericht,die Idee finde ich sehr gut.:peace:
